Mozilla released Firefox 3.6.4, with "crash protection" for Adobe Flash, Apple QuickTime and Microsoft Silverlight plug-ins -- under Windows and Linux. With 3.6.4, if a plug-in crashes, you'll be able to simply reload the tab. The browser and rest of your tabs! should remain unscathed. You'll also find that 3.6.4 starts up a little quicker, and it might even shut down a little faster!
"Mozilla recognizes that 3rd-party plugins provide important functionality in many of today's websites. At the same time, plugins can lead to problems for users as they browse. With ability to automatically alert users when they've out of date plugins, and now crash protection, 3.6.4 allows users to experience all the content they love without any of the hassles," Mozilla writes.
You can download it by clicking 'Check for Updates' in the Help menu, or by visiting Firefox website.
