Here's a round up of recent Facebook Platform updates:

  • Read and Revoke Requests: A new Graph API calls to read a user's existing requests and delete all of a user's requests. This new functionality allows developers to build flows that let users address all of their pending requests without returning to requests page. These features are now available to all developers and documented on developer site.
  • Applications Tabs on Profiles are getting removed. Starting this Wednesday, users will no longer be able to add them. This change willn't impact apps on Page tabs.
  • Better Tracking for Plugins. Similar to Like Button's tracking functionality, now support the "ref" attribute for Recommendations and Activity Feed plugins to help you A/B test placements and track performance. Developers can add this as an attribute to XFBML tags or a parameter to iframe plugins, and Facebook will pass the value back as a "fb_ref" parameter in referrer URL.
  • Terms of Service Field URL within Developer Application is re-enabled. When you supply a URL, we will link to your terms of service in the permissions dialog for your application.
