Facebook is rolling out a new way to help out newcomers to find interesting Pages. Now, "when new people join, they'll see a list of "commonly like pages" that other people in similar demographic likes. The list of Pages is strictly determined by an algorithm, so none of the suggestions is sponsored and Page administrators can't pay or ask to be included. We'll only suggest Pages that're posting engaging updates," explains Facebook.

Everyone can help newcomers, if you see a friend or family has joined Facebook, suggest a Page to them of their interest. Just click "Suggest to Friends" link underneath the profile picture on those Facebook Pages and help your friends get started.
