To help streamline deployment experience, Microsoft created Exchange Server 2010 Deployment Assistant, that allows you to create Exchange 2010 on-premises deployment instructions that ’re customized to your environment by asking a set of questions, and provides a finite set of instructions that’re designed to get you running Exchange 2010. Idea’s that, instead of wading through 2000+ topics in Exchange 2010 library, you can answer a few questions, and the Assistant gives customized content to upgrade. “In this version, content is available for customers upgrading from Exchange 2003. Additional upgrade scenarios’ll be available in early 2010 (upgrading from Exchange Server 2007, or a mixed Exchange Server 2003/2007 environment for example). We’ll also work on integration of cross-premise scenarios,” Exchange team.
