Some new features got into the Twitter now giving more control over what users see and interact with.
Today, the micro-blogging service anoounced two new notification settings rolling out to everyone in the coming days.
Among the two new feature available today is the called "Notifications Settings" that gives users more control over notifications they want to see from.
Everyone will now be able to receive notifications from 'only people" that they follow "on mobile and on twitter.com."
This is certainly a big relief for those who turn notifications off due to the large amount of likes, retweets, and mentions that they receive. As now you would only getting a message when someone you follow gives you a mention.
If you want to give it a try simply turn it on. If not, the company notes, that you should not worry– as "your individual Twitter experience will continue unchanged."
Finally, the company notes that they're also making it easier to managing your notifications settings, as you can now access them directly under the "notifications tab".
Another feature a "Quality Filter" setting—the idea behind this filter is" improve the quality of Tweets you see by using a variety of signals, such as account origin and behavior."
The filter is by deafult off, however, when turned on, it filters lower-quality content, like "duplicate Tweets" or "automated", from "your notifications and other parts of your Twitter experience," explained Twitter.
However, it will not filter content from people you follow or "accounts you've recently interacted with – and depending on your preferences," Twitter said.
The filter can be turn on or off in notifications settings.
The companly also said that the feature is designed the feature to learn and improve over time.
Today's roll out is just a start.
