Users who are already familiar with the Office ScreenTip Language, can infer what the Captions Language Interface Pack for Visual Studio LightSwitch 2011 is designed to do. “The Microsoft Captions Language Interface Pack (CLIP) is a simple language translation solution that uses tooltip captions to display translations for English user interface terms,” Microsoft explained.
For the time being, CLIP for Visual Studio LightSwitch 2011 comes with support for just three languages, namely Czech, Polish and Turkish. Users can leverage the resource in order to easily translate elements of the Visual Studio LightSwitch 2011 interface in their native tongue, especially if they have problems understanding the English references.
“CLIP is designed for those Visual Studio Lightswitch users who are not very fluent in English. CLIP can help those users learn and use Visual Studio Lightswitch by providing translation for the most common user interface elements of the application.”
“To use, simply move your mouse around the screen and halt briefly over any text you want translated. Users can also add their own translations and copy and paste any translation results,” the software giant added.
