Microsoft has launched a new portal dubbed "Windows 7 Deployment Learning Portal" designed to help you identify the strengths and gaps in your knowledge around Windows 7 deployment and provide some targeted learning to help you reach the top of your game.
"How are your Windows 7 deployment skills? Know when to use MDT, ACT, MAP and WAIK? Do you know how use the over 1400 security settings to lockdown and manage Internet Explorer 9? Not sure? Sounds like you need a little DLP (Deployment Learning Portal). The DLP is designed to help you identify the strengths and gaps in your knowledge around Windows 7 deployment and provide some targeted learning to help you reach the top of your game," Microsoft stated.
"The DLP is an online assessment and learning tool administered by The Test Factory on behalf of Microsoft Ltd. It requires a separate registration and login process than the Windows Live login process used by TechNet. By registering for this experience, you accept that your data will be sent to The Test Factory, which is located in the United Kingdom," the Redmond company said.
How does it work? Well, the team who wrote the Windows 7 Deployment exam for Microsoft created a online battery of questions that will test your knowledge around the tools and techniques used to do everything from hardware and software discovery, application compatibility to application packaging and driver management. The best part is, where your skills are weak, we will give you links to videos, whitepapers and FAQ's to help you beef up your skills in those areas that need help.
The DLP is available worldwide in over 10 languages so put your skills to the test and check out the DLP.
