Metal Gear Solid 4 publisher Konami have confirmed that David Hayter will provide voicing for Solid Snake in the upcoming PS3 exclusive, Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriot. Quinton Flynn, Paul Eiding and Christopher Randolph will also reprise their roles from past games in the series, as Raiden, Roy Campbell and Otacon respectively.
Konami confirm that voice acting expert Kris Zimmerman will help the actors bring their characters to life, with Kojima-san himself, alongside Shuyo Murata, working on the script.
“I couldn’t be more excited about this game,” enthused David Hayter. “What I’ve seen of Metal Gear Solid 4 has absolutely blown me away. To bring the focus of the story back to Solid Snake, and to work with Kris Zimmerman and many of the amazing actors that provided iconic voices for the previous games, is like coming home.”
“I’m so proud and grateful to have been involved with Mr. Kojima on this legendary video game series for nearly a decade. This game is going to plunge players into the ultimate Metal Gear Solid experience. And personally, I can’t wait to play it,” he added. Metal Gear Sold 4 is due out later this year.
