DashQuit is a lightweight Dashboard widget that will allow you to quit Dashboard in one simple click. It comes both in a Tiger and Leopard flavor. Once installed, DashQuit will reside quietly in your Dashboard. Its default display is a reading of how much memory is being consumed by your various widgets.

To quit Dashboard, just click on the stop button on the widget's left and confirm by pressing the "Yes" button. You can disable the confirmation in the preferences. When Dashquit is launching, it compute the amount of memory (RAM) that Dashboard is using and display it in the little screen. You can refresh the amount of RAM by clicking the screen or you can enable the timer in the preferences.
