Google is now enabling G Suite users to customize and extend their experience with two new features App Maker, helping in building custom enterprise applications, and “Recommended for G Suite” third-party partner program.
App Maker, available through Early Adopter Program for G Suite Business customers, “is a new low-code developer tool that helps in building custom tailored enterprise applications and lets you quickly deploy.” Since it’s built on the G Suite infrastructure, “developers can safely deploy custom apps in the cloud without worrying about servers, capacity planning, infrastructure security and monitoring,” Google adds.
Google said that over the past few months, a handful of large G Suite customers have already built and deployed apps to their organizations. And, serveral consulting partners are now onboard to help deliver solutions to joint customers.
Also, it lets you build a range of apps customized to meet the needs of organization and connects to a wide range of data sources and APIs. You can also leverage Google Cloud services such as Directory API and Prediction API, or third-party APIs.
While the seven new apps for the ‘Recommended for G Suite’ program added today solve critical business problems and offer deep integration and direct support with G Suite. “Each app goes through rigorous security testing and quality measures to qualify for Recommended for G Suite program,” Google said.
“Recommended for G Suite program was launched last year that on boards market leading applications, built by independent software vendors (ISVs) for the categories like project management, customer support, finance and accounting.”
