Ian Thomas and Reeves Little confirms that Microsoft Adcenter and Adlabs will soon be entering into the world of Free Analytics Tools, as they started testing a new analytics tool, codenamed Gatineau. This project is based on technology that we acquired from DeepMetrix Corporation last year. Gatineau is the name of the Canadian city where DeepMetrix was based for a number of years.
Ian writes in his post —”it doesn’t come as any great surprise to me that blog posts are starting to appear that have spotted that there is now something live on the Internet, as the observant amongst you will know, Gatineau. Earlier this month we took an early version of the code live onto the Internet as part of a closed Alpha program for a very limited number of our existing customers.”
- Performance tracking of AdCenter keywords
- Website profiles for tracking multiple sites (similar to Google Analytics)
- Permission based control around reports and settings on a per site basis using Windows Live ID
Finally, Ian says —The version live, now is an Alpha code developed for stability and proof-of-concept, and is subject to change.
