Google has made a significant stride with its AdWords program, in which Google announced its Content Placement Reports. This means that AdSense users can get a far more detailed report on where their money is going for Google ad placement.

This level of transparency allows advertisers to see exactly where their ads are showing, including the domain, URL, impressions, clicks, conversions and cost data. Also included with the new Reports are aggregated metrics for traffic generated from AdSense domain sites.

It’s an increase in visibility into Google’s targeted advertising process and enables business owners and advertisers to not get just an idea of what’s going on, but the exact details. For all those exasperated AdSense users out there, this is big news, not only for ad optimization purposes, but for peace of mind.
