Last week, Bing UK launched a brand new consumer campaign based on their new brand positioning “Bing is for Doing”.
The campaign entitled “Bing is for Doing What You Want To Do” is designed to engage with “Connected Socialisers;” who are highly social (on the web and off), want to get the most out of life, and don’t want to be preached at by brands but want an exchange of value and to be actively involved.
“Ever looked up something on a search engine you wanted to do but thought ‘Nah, that’s impossible or, I could never do that in a million years’, well now you might just be able to. We will be trying to make people’s ‘wants’ into actual things. It could be anything from learning to cook to yeti stalking. Tell us here and if it’s great we will do it with you. It also might get made into a TV ad,” the campaign description reads.
Through the campaign Bing invites the British public to tell them what they want to do via the Bing UK Facebook page. Bing will also select the best idea and make it happen – filming it and turning it into a video that will appear in TV and online advertising (off-net and on MSA properties) to be aired in June.
Bing UK has created a short teaser film which includes some suggestions ranging from DJ-ing to Ninjaing and Yeti-ing!
