Microsoft expanding the focus on search market to include additional countries worldwide. For Japan users, to take advantage of full Bing experience, Microsoft announced the "removal of Beta tag from Japanese version of search/decision engine." "bing team showcased the new features at Yoshimoto Entertainment Company, where Yoshimoto's comedians gave live, impromptu impressions of Bing while highlighting some of their favorite Bing features."

To check out the new Bing features in Japan make sure to set your location as Japan.

Also, Japan will be celebrating "Obon Festival," a highly traditional event (over 500 years old!) honoring one's ancestors. Each year, throngs of people gather to witness and participate in the Bon Odori folk dance and launch paper lanterns on rivers– hoping to light the return path of their ancestor's souls.
