Microsoft Bing and Yahoo!'s search alliance now has a name of its own, called the "Yahoo! Bing Network."
The ""Yahoo! Bing Network" is the combined search advertising marketplace made up of Yahoo!, Bing, and partner sites, like Facebook, Amazon, Monster, WebMD, CNBC, and Viacom, plus networks like The Wall Street Journal Digital Network," Microsoft Advertising stated.
"The robust Yahoo! Bing Network reaches 151 million searchers in the U.S. who are likely to spend 124% more than the average searcher, and likely to spend 5% more than Google searchers in the U.S. That also means you can reach 46 million unique searchers in the U.S. who aren't using Google," Microsoft posted on the new Yahoo Bing Network About page.
Adding further, "A similar result holds true worldwide, with 489 million unique searchers, 92 million of whom do not use Google; and worldwide the Yahoo! Bing Network represents an audience who is likely to spend 124% more than the average searcher and 78% more than Google searchers worldwide," Microsoft writes.
Delivering a high-quality audience, the Yahoo! Bing Network is comprised of 151 million unique searchers in the U.S. who are likely to spend 24% more than the average searcher, and likely to spend 5% more than Google searchers in the U.S.*.

Finally, Microsoft UK released two ad formats which will soon to be available for MSN Homepage and channel takeovers and exclusive to Microsoft Advertising called "Magnetic Canvas" and "Swell."
Swell available in 300x600 canvas is well "suited to FMCG where advertisers want to take ordinary products and turn them into extraordinary experiences," says Microsoft. It comes alive as a user hovers over the add, spilling out over the page and into the right hand gutter and inviting further interactions.
"The Swell gives advertisers the opportunity to take advantage of any accidental hovers across the unit and bring their products to life with exciting and enticing animations and expansions without disrupting the experience or covering any content," Microsoft explains.
Magnetic Canvas is designed to take advantage of any accidental hovers without disrupting the user experience, this time with eye catching 3D animation. "The ad grows as users hover and the animation follows the mouse around the ad with a fantastic 3D effect," explained Microsoft.
"The ad also offers large expansion opportunities based on 3 second hover on hotspots within the creative allowing users to explore the products in detail."
This format is "also flexible in its suitability for different advertisers as can be seen by the two demo links below however in particular, we recommend it for those campaigns with lots of products or features to display and explore," Microsoft adds.
