We may have known that a new Katamari title was on the way for some time, thanks to the rumour-mongering of the interweb and the vagaries of the ESRB's website, but now its official: Beautiful Katamari is coming to the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
Support for dual-analogue control is rumoured, and we also hear chatter that this title will be the first in the series supporting online play. The singing cheerleaders of the first outing are also set for a return, according to the latest word from Japanese magazine Famitsu, helpfully translated by IGN.
Better graphics and katamari's up to 7,000km in breadth are on the cards, according to director Jun Morikawi. We're also told to anticipate razor-sharp gameplay, larger maps and even some innovative new controls (though this is presently being investigated by the developers at Namco).
