Intel's next-generation Atom platform for netbooks code-named "Pine Trail" will be known as the Atom N450, and will be available in October at the earliest. Pine Trail, with its Pineview CPU and Tiger Point I/O controller known as the NM10, then, seems to be an attempt to provide customers with fanless operation and lower power consumption, but at a lower price.
