Ask.com seems to be taking, similiar approach of Microsoft Live Search’s "hotspots" feature, with an advertising twist. If you visit Ask.com, you’ll find a large promotional image of “Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian” movie. When you mouseover a character or actor, a name pop’s up and if you click on it, you be taken to a search results with Ask.com’s Smart Answers.
