A strategic partnerships between Google with Visa and Mastercard to bring Android Pay to more places on the mobile web is announced today October 24th.
With this announcement, Android Pay users using device authentication method like fingerprint recognition, will soon be able to pay on all the sites “where Visa Checkout or Masterpass are accepted.”
“Visa Checkout and Masterpass users who link their accounts with Android Pay can look forward to easy and secure payments in stores and online with a simple tap,” Google said. This helps users saving them time and a hassle free faster checkout, as they no longer have to remember multiple usernames and passwords.
In addition merchants and developrs too gets benefits from these enhanced payment experiences as by just enabling Visa Checkout or Masterpass on their sites will instantly and automatically update their buttons for these additional services.
With these new additions, “merchants can look forward to faster checkout times, fewer abandoned carts, higher conversions and increased sales,” google writes.
This new integration with Visa Checkout and Masterpass within the Android Pay app will come into effect in early 2017.
