The latest update of AdWords Editor version 12.1 with support added for several new features, such as expanded Dynamic Search ads, Shopping Showcase ads, as well as new bid options in the Advanced Bid Changes tool, is now available for download globally.
The latest update also now support downloadable metrics for first position bid, ad relevancy, landing page experience and click-through-rate.
In this release, advertisers are now able to clealy view campaigns and ad groups violating best practices that you have defined. Also, you keep track of the voilation using custom rules, available since June.
The newest Shopping Showcase ads is now available as an ad type option in the left side navigation — features three product images that are relevant to the search query and links to a Google-hosted landing page of the products. The header image represents product category or brand.
With this release of AdWords Editor, you can also now create and manage Shopping campaigns and update campaign settings, along with the associated product groups, also known as “product partitions or shopping criteria,” says the team.
You can set up Showcase ads in the Shopping campaign ad group, by selecting “Showcase” from the “Ad group type” drop-down.
To create and edit a Shopping campaign, in the account tree, select the account where you want the shopping campaign to appear. Then, in the type list, select Campaigns, followed by clicking Add campaign button above the data view. Select new campaign in the data view. And, then in the edit panel, choose Shopping from the Campaign type drop-down menu, and make any other edits you wish.
Note: Merchant ID and Country of sale (found under the Shopping settings tab in the edit pane) are required.
