Improvements to the AdWords interface launched today help saving time and help to manage campaigns more effectively. Here is what's new today:
Keyword column in search terms report help you see the precise keyword that matched someone's search term and triggered your ad. To see this new column in AdWords, "first open a search terms report. Next, click the "Columns" drop-down button and click "Customize columns"," explains google.
Now, as you see in the image below with red boxes, click "Attributes," and finally click "Add."
"Based on the fit you see between the matched keyword and the search term, you might choose to make adjustments to your keyword lists, add negatives to campaigns or ad groups, adjust your ads or bids, or adjust your landing pages," google stated.
Campaign diagnostics will now alert you of potential errors or conflicts in your campaign. "Running in the background, our systems will look for potential errors or conflicts in your account. If a potential problem is diagnosed, you'll see a polite alert so you can address it immediately," google explained.
In addition, Google also recently made following improvements include: "Faster editing across your account; Shared campaign budgets; Impression share reporting improvements; Email-only alerts with automated rules; and Program your campaigns with AdWords scripts."
In other Google product, Google Affiliate Network making it easier to quickly find and share seasonal links through the interface.
Finding seasonal links. Publisher, can now easily find seasonal links to promote -- "the link take you to the Links tab in publisher's account and automatically filter the results for links tagged for say "Black Friday"," google blogged. This feature, along with the structured promotions features, helps more quickly and easily find great advertiser offers.
"Advertisers already have the capability of sharing these seasonal links with you directly via email."
Tagging and sharing seasonal links. Advertiser, can now more easyily tag links and share them with publishers.
To add seasonal tags to your links, "Click the 'Links' tab, then 'Browse all links'. Find the links you want to tag and check the box to the left of each link. Next, select the 'Tag' button at the top of the page, choose any appropriate seasonal tags, and click 'Apply'," explains Google.
And, to share tagged links with publishers -- "just click 'Share' at the top of the page to get a link to share with publishers. Then, share the link via email with any publishers in your program so that they can easily view the seasonal links you just tagged," google added.
