“Sega Nomad” was introduced in 1995 at $179. It is a portable Genesis/Mega Jet, which boasts a colorful 3.25-inch TFT display and powered by six-AA batteries. Thus it offered 90-160 minutes of play time. On paper, the Nomad was the perfect color portable. It had a full color, backlit display. It supported an estimated 600 titles already on the shelves in addition to being a functional home system. Unfortunately, like the Game Gear, the Nomad was bulky and offered abysmal battery life.
