With the PlayStation 3 console now nearly out in PAL regions, we today learn that UK supermarket chain Asda (who are owned by Wal-Mart), are presently running a promotion flogging slimline PS2 systems for just 50 GBP. The promotion is running across the country, though will only run while stocks last, with the systems said to be going like hotcakes.

We're also hearing reports that the supermarket are selling certain games for six pounds or less.
