Microsoft posted a video on its Channel9, "Overview of SharePoint 2010 as a Business Intelligence Platform (updated with SQL Server 2012 features)." The video was presented at the SharePoint Summit 2012 in Toronto, Canada by Serge Luca (SharePoint MVP).
Microsoft says there will be 350 million devices sold this year that use its Windows 7 software. According to Bloomberg, corporate demand has been a key driver of success and is currently exceeding the company's estimates. CEO Steve Ballmer said Windows is the "most popular" software system, sparked by corporate demand for programs with Windows 7.
Microsoft is expected to put on sale the next version of Windows -- Windows 8 -- in October.
"More than 103 million tablet devices will be sold in 2012, with sales tripling to 326.3 million in 2015, according to Gartner Inc. Apple is set to account for two-thirds of the market in 2012, Gartner estimates. The company's share will drop to 46 percent by 2015, while Microsoft's will climb to 11 percent."
