Contacts are available both on LinkedIn.com as well as a brand new app for iPhone.
LinkedIn says that coming weeks, it will send invitations to try LinkedIn Contacts to a limited number of members in the United States.

LinkedIn Contacts brings together all your address books, emails, and calendars, and keeps them up to date in one place. From these sources, "we'll automatically pull in the details of your past conversations and meetings, and bring these details directly onto your contact's profile," explains LinkedIn.
Also, you can get alerted on job changes and birthdays in your network, a perfect opportunity to stay in touch. And, you can event set reminders and add notes about the important people in your life.
Additionally, LinkedIn Contacts is available as a standalone app for iPhone, so you can stay in touch with your contacts wherever you work.
