Microsoft is offering a Xbox LIVE Gold membership free for the weekend, ending Monday morning April 22nd.
"Those reside in the United States, Canada, Latin America, and Japan can grab this offer and have access to entertainment apps like Netflix and enable features such as Video Kinect," informs Microsoft.
Microsoft typically charges $59.99 for a 12 month membership or $9.99 for a monthly membership.

Also, Siemens now using Kinect for Windows to improve nuclear plant employee safety.

Also, according to NPD data, Xbox 360 continued to be the number one console in the U.S. in March 2012, marking the 27th consecutive month as the best-selling console.
March highlights from NPD include:
- "Xbox 360 sold 261,000 units, maintaining the number-one console spot in the U.S.
- Total retail spend on the Xbox 360 platform reached $402 million, (hardware, software and accessories), the most for any console in the U.S.
- During the month of March, Xbox 360 held six of the top 10 console game titles including: "Bioshock Infinite," "NBA 2K13," "Gears of War: Judgment," "Tomb Raider," "The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct" and "Call of Duty: Black Ops II"," informs Microsoft.
