Universal Analytics Enters into Public Beta, Now Available to all Google Analytics Customers

Universal Analytics beta now available to all Google Analytics customers can help measure how people actually become and remain loyal customers.

Universal Analytics, which was until now in limited beta since October 2012--has today been entered into the Public Beta.

""Universal Analytics," helps customers tailor Google Analytics to their needs, integrate their own datasets and ultimately get a more complete vision of the entire marketing funnel."

As now in public beta, all Google Analytics customers can start using Universal Analytics. Google says, that the migration guides for properties using ga.js will be avilable soon. Until then, "existing users can create a new web property in their Analytics account to set up Universal Analytics. While, the new customers can choose Universal Analytics when settingup a account."

Benefits of using Universal Analytics include:

  • "Understanding how customers interact with your businesses across many devices and touch-points,
  • Insights into the performance of your mobile apps,
  • Improvements of lead generation and ROI by incorporating offline and online interactions so you can understand which channels drive the best results,
  • Improved latency on your site by reducing client-side demands," informs Google.

Google Universal Analytics enters into Public Beta

To implement, Google says, customers can use new analytics.js JavaScript for websites, iOS and Android SDKs for apps, and the new Measurement Protocol for all other platforms.

To setup, just "select the Universal Analytics column to get the new analytics.js code snippet." Additionally, Google says, customers can also take advantage of the Universal Analytics template available in Google Tag Manager.

Tag Manager "allows you to make additional changes and enable new features to your analytics setup without changing the hard-coded tags on your website."
