YouTube One Channel Consistent Across all Screens and Devices Launches

YouTube One Channel open for everyone make your new channel look great on browsers across all screens, devices, helps convert visitors into subscribers with new "slot for channel trailer" and more. Google I/O 2013 registration opens Wednesday.

YouTube Channels sporting a brand new design and layout now - called "One Channel" brings a consistent design and branding across screens - to all advertisers.

"The main focus of the Once Channel is to make new channel look great on browsers across all screens and devices. It'll also help you convert more visitors into subscribers with a slot for a channel trailer, and you can customize how you organize your videos and playlists so it fits your programming strategy," Google wrote.

Here are a few of the benefits of the One Channel layout:

  • "New design offer a consistent look and feel regardless of whether visitors view it on desktop, tablet, mobile or TV. Google says it is now easier to upload brand assets so that they look amazing on any device.
  • Create and upload a big, beautiful piece of Channel Art that will act as your channel's visual identity across all screens and devices.
  • Welcome non-subscribers and "invite them to subscribe" with a channel trailer that only appears to visitors that "aren't yet subscribers to your channel."
  • Connect your associated channels lets you link to relevant channels directly from your page.
  • Flexibility to curate your content with sections however you please without having to create sub-channels or pages. "Sections gives you control over what visitors see when they check out your channel."
  • Channel is now always just one click away with each user's guide appearing on every page of YouTube, your brand channel is always at their fingertips.
  • Organize your channel's videos and playlists so they work best for your audience and programming. With the new channel home and customizable sections, you're in control of what subscribers see when they click on your channel from the guide," informs Google.

Update 03/13: Google I/O developer sold out in just 49 minutes for all the $900 (or $300 for school students and faculty).
