Windows Phone Store now in 37 new locations, adds new features

Windows Phone web store for apps and games is now open in 37 new locations around the world. "With these additions, customers can browse and buy apps through our website in a total of 112 markets worldwidem," Microsoft stated.

The web outlet complements the phone Store, "which is now available in 191 markets worldwide," Microsoft added saying it will continuing to work to bring the Store to more places.

In addtion, the web store now features more accurate search results, new categories, and the addition of Collections, our handpicked guides to the Store's best apps and games.

Microsoft has also some new Store features that include: a universal search that makes it easier to find apps and information on those apps, as well as the ability to install apps via SD card. "With Windows Phone 8 models support SD cart, this option can be useful when a cellular or Wi-Fi data connection isn't available. Just look for the "Download and install manually" link on the app's details page. Click to download the app's installation--or.xap--file, which can then be copied over to the phone's SD card and installed," Microsoft explains.

And, using the improved app reinstallation feature (that's part of My Phone on the website), users can also re-install an app (free and paid apps) to their Windows Phone 8 device based on data saved in your app purchase history.

"As long as you use same Microsoft account, you'll see a Reinstall option beside each of the apps in your purchase history--just click it to put the app back on your new phone," Microsoft adds.
