A new look YouTube with improved new channel discovery, simplifying subscriptions lands today, here is what is new today:

The new cleaner YouTube layout, available across the entire site brings "the most crucial elements are front and center when you watch a video," YouTube said, for example: "the video is right at the top of the page and the subscribe button, social actions and video information are all combined directly below the player." And, the Playlists are now available to the right of the video to help you browse through while you watch.

Subscription Guide available across devices including Android, iPhone, Playstation 3, Google TV and more lets you know when there are new videos waiting for you to enjoy, suggests the latest and greatest channels you might like, and shows you what your friends are sharing across the web. All by just subscribing to your favorite channels.

You can also see a list of other videos from the previous page, so you can quickly watch another search result, a different video from the same channel or another video from the homepage.

Key changes include:

  • "Subscription Guide is now everywhere, and it showcases your channel activity to your fans
  • All the video information and engagement are consolidated below the video player, helping your video take center stage on the viewing page
  • Making it easier to subscribe with enhanced channel recommendations."
