Office 2013 Webpage launches : Offers information on Office 201 Upgrade

Microsoft has launched a page on Microsoft.com for Office 2013, for those Office 2010 users eligible for a free upgrade - can sign up as of now for an email remainder to be notified whenever you can redeem your product.

The page confirms that to qualify for the upgrade offer, you need to buy Office Home and Student 2010, Office Home and Business 2010, Office Professional 2010, Office University 2010, Office for Mac Home & Student 2011, Office for Mac Home & Business 2011 or Office for Mac University.

In what appears to be a flurry of activity in preparation to be a whirlwind two weeks starting with the General Availability launch of Windows 8 on October 25, and will be followed by the public launch of Surface, Windows Phone 8, and culminating with Build, the Office Division has also flipped the switch on Office 2013 Web Apps.

According to a tweet from SkyDrive Program Manager Omar Shahine, Office Web Apps is "alive" -- "The Office 2013 Web Apps are now alive on #SkyDrive :-). Enjoy! Kudos to my friends in the Microsoft Office Division!," tweeted Shahine.

You can check out Office Web Apps by going to SkyDrive, and (in the Outlook.com version) clicking on "Create".

Microsoft also launched today a page to download the Preview of Internet Explorer 10 for Windows 7. Though, the page is "initially" online but the download links available on the page do not work as of now.

Microsoft offerign the new IE10 for Windows 7 in a total of 36 languages and, in addition to the 32-bit and 64-bit builds for Windows 7 with Service Pack 1, a Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 64-bit release will also be available.

Also, ahead of launch, Windows Phone 8 devices from Nokia and HTC are now available for pre-order.

And, finally, Microsoft aired a Windows 8 TV commercial. The first video below shows a three-year old kid using the Windows 8 to prove the others wrong who demonstrate that Microsoft's operating system is actually extremely confusing.
