Google Play experience including movies, TV shows, and music begin rolling out to Google TV and will "let you buy or rent content directly through the Google Play Store on Google TV, and purchases you've made on other devices will also be automatically available on Google TV," informs Google.

Google Play titles will also be discoverable through TV & Movies app, which brings recommendations for shows and movies available on live TV and apps like Netflix, Amazon, and now Google Play.

For developers, "this update also enables many other Google Play features including auto-updates, subscription billing, and smart app updates," Google said.

Also, to for great tablet apps to make way into the Google Play - Google put together a Tablet App Quality Checklist to make it easier for developers to ensure their app meets the expectations of tablet users.

  • "Optimizing your layouts for larger screens
  • Taking advantage of extra screen area available on tablets
  • Using Icons and other assets that are designed for tablet screens," informs Google.

Google with the W3C, Microsoft and several other leading internet and technology companies announced the alpha release of "Web Platform Docs," a community-driven site that aims to become the comprehensive and authoritative source for web developer documentation.

"The founding members of Web Platforms Docs have all already provided a lot of content for the site to help get this effort off to a strong start," Google posted.

And, Google also posted a video of a October 2nd, event, where Neal Mohan, Google's VP of Display Advertising, "moderated a presidential-style debate about programmatic buying and building brands online at the Interactive Advertising Bureau's MIXX conference."

He was joined on-stage by Jon Suarez-Davis, VP of Global Digital Strategy and North America Media at Kellogg's, and Curt Hecht, Chief Revenue Officer at The Weather Channel, who represented the advertiser and publisher sides in this debate.

And, finally, Google taking on its startup culture that gave birth to Google -- as its founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin during early days of the company worked out of a garage in Menlo Park in 1998 -- on September 24 - 27, 2012, Google held a "Entrepreneurs Week," where the company shared support of entrepreneurs around the globe.

As part of this initiative, Google offices in 12 different countries engaged in community outreach with entrepreneurs in their area -- and hosted a Youth Entrepreneurship Panel Discussion with 3 Googlers who have serial entrepreneurship experiences.

Googlers Dave Brown, Neil Shankman, and Perihan Abou-Zeid discussed the ingredients of a successful startup and hare their advice with other aspiring entrepreneurs.
