Trying to remember that nicely composed tweet -- you need not anymore! Twitter is working on a project that will give you access to an archive of all of your past tweets.

Twitter's CEO Dick Costolo in an interview with New York Times recently said that the company is building a tool that would let Twitter users download their own tweets.

"We're working on a tool to let users export all of their tweets," Mr. Costolo said in a meeting with reporters and editors at The New York Times on Monday. "You'll be able to download a file of them," Costolo said.

With users tweeting more than 400 million times per day, a full-history, all-Twitter search/download tool may not be feasible from an engineering standpoint.

Costolo said that while the company was developing a way to let users dig through their own backlogs of past posts, he did not anticipate that a similar tool would be released to let users dig through all of Twitter's trove of posts anytime soon.

"It's two different search problems," he said. "It's a different way of architecting search, going through all tweets of all time. You can't just put three engineers on it."

He didn't say when the company would make the personal search tool or export tool available for public use, but he said he was confident that at some point users would be able to look through their entire history of messages posted to Twitter.

PolitickerUSA Stream of U.S. Congress Tweets

"PolitickerUSA," a free web-based tool that allows users to quickly and easily read tweets from members of congress and other political leaders --now joined by another free service named "Politwoops," that let users discover, access and read tweets that have been shared by politicians and then promptly deleted.

While PolitickerUSA aims to show current trends of U.S. Politicians Twitter feeds; and to analyze an ever growing database of political tweets. The company has arranged the tweets by caucus, that means Senators Sanders & Lieberman are under Democrats, Senator Murkowski is classif?via=poliloudr&url=heocra-itete.

The site has been collecting elected officials' tweets since May 2011 -- and now has over 149,000 tweets and counting, including the tweets from U.S. President Barack Obama.

On the other hand, "Politwoops, is a comprehensive collection of deleted tweets by U.S. politicians. From minor typos to major gaffes, Politwoops is now there to offer a searchable window into what they hoped you didn't see," the company stated.

"All deleted tweets shown here since June 22, 2012 have been reviewed and approved by the Sunlight Foundation," Politwoops adds.
