Happy Mother's Day! Google celebrating the special day dedicated to mother's around the world with a special animated doodle. When you visit Google homepage today, you are greeted by the second "g" in Google as the mother, with the two smallcase o's as her children.

Mother, the blue lowercase "g" in her pearl necklace, is surprised by her two kids, the red and yellow o's, as they bounce in an open door and hand her a purple flower. Jumping into her arms - well, as much as letters of the alphabet have arms - they have a group hug and kiss before the rest of the gray letters of Google's logo fade in.

Google also recently celebrated "super-user" moms in a pre-Mother's Day blog post entitled "Celebrating our super-mom users". Heather Fay, a stay-at-home mom and musician made the list for her use of Google+ and Google Play. While Sarah, from San Francisco, co-founder of My Robot Nation, a Chrome web app that lets you create a unique robot online, then have it printed in full-color 3D and mailed to your door.

And, Betty Govan came to Google's attention by releasing more than 1,100 videos of her southern cooking recipes as YouTube videos and 16 million video views, Betty has become a mom to people all around the world.

Today's Google Doodle is the second mom-inspired design, as the search company on March 18 this year released the following doodle, created to appear as though a child artist armed with crayons when Mother's Day was celebrated in countries including Saudi Arabia, Portugal, Tunisia, Jordan, Bahrain, United Kingdom and El Salvador.
