Microsoft Store Roadmap

Last week, Microsoft opened its news Store in Palo Alto, Calif., and Austin, Texas.

"The Microsoft Store offers a selection of the best products available on Microsoft platforms for customers to test out and purchase. Whether it's a student upgrading to a thinner and lighter PC, a small business trying out a touch-friendly all-in-one computer or a family looking for some fun with a new Xbox console, there's something for everyone. And for those on the go, the selection of Windows Phones and tablets has proven popular at each store location," Microsoft stated.

"At the Worldwide Partner Conference last summer, Kevin Turner discussed potential plans to open up to 75 new Microsoft Stores within the next 2-3 years. As Kevin noted, we continue to learn from our customers so we can provide them with the best choice, value and service and we will adjust and adapt our strategy to open stores in a number of additional locations over the coming years as it makes sense. While we're exploring several locations for future Microsoft Stores, we have no additional information to share at this time," a Microsoft spokesperson.
