Microsoft launched a new website for its "Office Labs" team, who are behind the future vision videos you may also have seen on this blog but that's just a small part of their work. They focus on an array of projects ranging from the prototyping of concepts, to longer-term incubations - working with many other groups across Microsoft.

Office Labs is a group of designers, researchers, developers and creative thinkers who operate like a startup within the Office team.

"We work in a collaborative fast-paced workspace with whiteboards, stickies and design concepts lining the walls. We rely on each other's diverse skills and backgrounds to generate and explore ideas, and ultimately evaluate their potential impact. The team works hard but always has fun along the way," reads the site.

The new site has a fresh, clean look built using HTML5, sporting a Metro UI, and gives you more details on the work in the lab that the team is focused and some great views in to the world of their work.

Oh and they're hiring!

"We are always looking for people with passion, creativity, and the skills to tackle tough problems."
