A Trifecta of Cloud Security Transparency: Dynamics CRM, Office 365, and Windows Azure joins CSA

Microsoft Trustworthy Computing team announced that Microsoft Dynamics CRM has joined the Cloud Security Alliance's (CSA) Security and Assurance Registry (STAR).

"Both Microsoft Office 365 and Windows Azure have self-assessments published in the CSA's STAR, and we're pleased to share that Microsoft Dynamics CRM has now also published a self-assessment - resulting in a trifecta of cloud service security transparency!," Microsoft stated.

The self-assessments for Office 365, Windows Azure, and Microsoft Dynamics CRM in the CSA's STAR registry provides cloud customers with the visibility and transparency they are looking for, in a way that is based on standards (ISO 27001) and CSA best practices, for free.

Industry collaboration is critical to helping businesses, governments and citizens realize safer computing experiences. It is also important in the context of cloud security.

In the latest Cloud Fundamentals Video Series -- Tim Rains, Director, Trustworthy Computing, discuss industry collaboration with Philippe Courtot, the Chairman and CEO of Qualys - a corporate member of the CSA.

Courtot's states, "with the cloud we have a unique opportunity to build security into the very fabric of the cloud. You cannot do that alone; the cloud is too complex, we're moving at the speed of light. Without collaboration it would be very difficult to achieve that goal."

In this video Courtot discusses the importance of industry cooperation and teamwork, what he thinks will help drive the state of cloud security forward over the next several years, and his view that mobility and the cloud cannot be separated.
