A latest report citing an unnamed source offered preview of some more upcoming Skydrive features:

"First, Microsoft adding support for OpenDocument formats such as .odt, .odp, .ods. In addition to currently supported Open XML formats (.docx, .xlsx, .pptx).

Second, Microsoft is planning to increase the individual file size limit from existing 100 MB to 300 MB. Once done, this would match the competitior Dropbox's current limit - unlimited via desktop app, 300 MB via website.

Anonther feature planned will let you share SkyDrive files directly to Twitter and other social network services like weibo etc. Microsoft currently allow you to directly share files and folders to Facebook, MySpace and LinkedIn. But, to share on Twitter, one has to "Get a link" and manually copy and paste it into Twitter.

The upcoming Windows and Mac Skydrive client apps will users to remotely access files and folders on local computers via SkyDrive web interface, provided you enable it in the app settings.

Once it has been enabled, you'll be able to remotely access files and folders via the "Computers" menu (previously "Devices" when shown at BUILD).

Next update of SkyDrive will also added support for URL Shortening service via its http://sdrv.ms domain. Simply click on the "Shorten" button when sharing a link, and a shortened URL will be generated for you.

Manage BitLocker recovery keys stored on SkyDrive - Finally, the upcoming update to SkyDrive will let users store their BitLocker recovery keys directly onto theri SkyDrive account.

To retrieve your BitLocker recovery keys on SkyDrive, users needs to be either using a trusted computer, or verify themselves using a confirmation number via email or SMS.
