A leaked Windows Phone roadmap details of the possible release dates and specifications for future versions of the Microsoft mobile operating system.

"The Windows Phone roadmap is believed to be up to date as of October 2011 and shows a Q2, 2012 release date for the next version of operating system codenamed Tango, with the fourth release "Apollo" set for a Q4, 2012 launch," reports WMPoweruser.

The roadmap shows that "Tango," which will come in Q2 2012, may be a little more than an update to enable the Windows Phone 7 operating system to run on "low-end handsets" for what Microsoft call "products with the best prices."

Meanwhile "Apollo" is a different story altogether, however, in Q4 2012, Microsoft expects volume to increase (at least an indication of their expectations for Windows Phone sales for most of 2012), enable the release of high-end super phones (presumably with dual core and HD screens), and finally address the needs of business.
