Microsoft Office 365 team posted a new video titled "Adding a Domain Name with a Public Website to Office 365 for Professionals and Small Businesses," that shows you how to add your registered domain name to Office 365 for professionals and small businesses without disrupting service to your existing email and public-facing website.

"To add your domain to Office 365 but keep your website at its current hosting provider, you first have to create a domain nameserver system (DNS) A record in the Microsoft Office 365 portal that points to the IP address for your website."

You must also recreate existing users and email addresses in Office 365 before transferring DNS record management for your domain to Office 365.
