Microsoft Hardware blog in a blog November 2 blog post listed the winners of the UIST 2011 Student Innovation Contest where university students were challenged to come up with interesting uses for the Microsoft Touch Mouse with the public sensor SDK.

"Students in the 30 participating groups were challenged to develop new, innovative ways of using the Microsoft Touch Mouse, and six teams stood out as clear winners across three categories revealed Microsoft:

The six prized students teams took away a combined $6000 worth of prize money contributed by the Microsoft Applied Sciences Group.
