DROID RAZR announced today at the press event in New York City, is only 7.1mm thick, and it has a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor, 1 GB of RAM, an 8 megapixel camera with support for 1080p video, 16 GB of storage with another 16 GB via a MicroSD card, a 4.3 inch Super AMOLED qHD display, and turbo-boosted 4G LTE speeds.

The device will be sold by Verizon Wireless in the US and will support its faster 4G LTE network.

"Unflinching in the face of danger, this handheld hero evens the odds with laser-cut KEVLAR fiber, scratch resistant Corning Gorilla Glass and a 360 force field of water repellent nanoparticles," said Motorola.

And if cutting-edge visuals are the beauty, DROID RAZR's apps are the brains. Enter MotoCast: the free Motorola app that lets you stream or download your music, pics and more from your PC to your phone - virtually anytime, anywhere. With the Smart Actions app, DROID RAZR is ready to do your bidding: extend battery life and let it do the mundane tasks that you don't have time for.

Motorola also announced a number of accessories for the Droid RAZR including two different Laptop docks that, when the smartphone is attached, can let the device be used much like a PC notebook. Verizon said the Droid RAZR will be released in early November for $299.99 with a two year contract. By the way, the phone will be called simply the RAZR in the rest of the world.
