For those now aware, "Visual Studio LightSwitch is a software development tool that enables you to build business applications quickly without needing to be a programmer. The effect is pretty impressive and while technically not done using light switches, you get the correlation.

Visual Studio lets IT Pro's connect interfaces with data sources like SharePoint or web services quickly and easily. "Easy" of course a relative term, if you've ever installed Visual Studio and all of its dependencies before, it's not for the faint of heart. Still if your job requires you to present data in a meaningful way and you don't have the budget for a developer, VS LightSwitch is worth a look."
