Samsung Galaxy S III due sometime in 2012, is believed to have a dual-core Samsung Exynos 4212 1.8GHz dual-core processor, a 4.6-inch Super AMOLED Plus HD display, 2GB or RAM, and a 12 megapixel camera on the back, revealed an image leak on the net.

The image (embedded below) in question not only tells us when, but what we can expect from the yet to be announced Samsung flagship. In a slide detailing the progression of the Galaxy S family, the III sits in the top right, and next to it a juicy specs list follows.

"Our source noted that these particular displays are not fully baked at this point in time. The camera would deploy the W750 BSI CMOS sensor and the phone will feature LTE and NFC support. Unlike the upcoming Nexus Prime the Galaxy S III will not use a curved display and the design language of the phone will apparently differ from the current Galaxy S lineup to avoid future legal issues," reports Phandroid who obtained the image.

The GS3 is said to be even thinner than the GS2. While the handset will run on the upcoming Android Ice Cream Sandwich build, it will reportedly retain four physical buttons.

The rumour mill states the Galaxy S III will also have a thinner body than the S II, and should quite obviously run on Android Ice Cream Sandwich. Phandroid, points out that the information on the Galaxy S III is unconfirmed at this time.
