Windows Server Hyper-V Now Support Hypervisor for OpenNebula Clouds

Microsoft's Open Solutions Group announced that Windows Server Hyper-V is now an officially supported hypervisor for "OpenNebula".

"This open source project is working on a prototype for release next month and it will soon be possible for customers to build and manage OpenNebula clouds on a Hyper-V based virtualization platform," Microsoft stated.

"OpenNebula is the Industry standard for on-premise IaaS cloud computing, offering a complete and comprehensive solution for the management of virtualized data centers to enable private, public and hybrid (cloudbursting) clouds."


"OpenNebula interoperability makes cloud an evolution by leveraging existing IT infrastructure, protecting your investments, and avoiding vendor lock-in."
