U.S. President Barack Obama talked about jobs, economy, entrepreneurship and the state of employment in the United States in general during the President's LinkedIn Town Hall visit.

Also, LinkdeIn has published an infographic that paints a picture of economic opportunity as seen by LinkedIn members over the past two years. Additionally, it shines a light on areas of growth, i.e. industries, sectors, etc., that hold potential for boosting our economy tomorrow.

LinkedIn says that there have been "7.4 million job changes or starts of its members since 2009." The top industries for these changes are higher education, healthcare, information technology, and marketing and advertising.

And, "4.7 million LinkedIn members are employed by small businesses."

There are over 360,000 veterans on LinkedIn, and the most popular industries in which veterans work are information technology, defense and space, healthcare, higher education and government administration. Nearly 740,000 members on LinkedIn attended community college, and most studied business, computer science accounting and nursing.
