RIM has released the 3.0 upgrade to their BlackBerry App World application portal to its Beta Zone users.

"3.0 introduces a redesigned home screen created to "let you quickly find what BlackBerry app, game or theme you're looking for." The re-design app also brings in new home screen icons for games and BlackBerry themes, allowing users to switch between application summaries, reviews and screenshots within one screen," revealed BlackBerry.

"Speaking of apps and games, you'll notice new top-level channels in BlackBerry App World. Games and BlackBerry Themes are our two most popular categories. Within these new channels, you'll find another carousel of Spotlight Banners for featured apps, sub categories, and top 25 lists ("Free", "Paid", "Recently Updated", and "New")," BlackBerry blog states.

"You can also flick between app summaries, screenshots, and reviews from one screen, and share links from the newly added "App Social Sharing" app details screen to your favorite apps over Facebook, Twitter, SMS, BBM, and e-mail."

"A new "My Account" feature also hopes to make BBID and additional payment options easier, allowing access to account information directly from the home screen. Additional "My World" features have also been added, with a more streamlined view of a users apps and status, letting them see what apps have been installed or uninstalled. It will also let users manage subscription content and services," said BalckBerry.

The featured carousel in BlackBerry App World 3.0 make it easier to find what's new / hot -- each month, you'll see a fresh list of the best in BlackBerry apps, games and themes.
