Microsoft recently published a new tutorial titled "Developing a Windows Azure Data Application Using Code First and SQL Azure" that leverages several Microsoft technologies and shows you how to easily develop a data-driven application in Windows Azure.

The tutorial uses the Entity Framework Code First functionality to create a data model for an ASP.NET MVC 3 application and automatically create a new SQL Azure database.

"Read this tutorial if you are a developer with a basic understanding of ASP.NET and SQL Server who would like to create a web application that runs on Windows Azure and uses a SQL Azure database," reads the tutorial page.

"This tutorial assumes you have some limited knowledge of Windows Azure, so it moves quickly through the steps of creating and deploying your Windows Azure application."
