foursquare just released an update to its Android app, which has got a lot of things like events, inline photos for your friends' check-ins, and a whole bunch of redesigned screens (from the venue screen to the check-in detail screen), announced foursquare.

"In particular, we think you'll love events. If you're out at a movie, concert, or sporting event, you can check in and share exactly what you're doing. It's great because you can easily tell your friends that you're at the Lady Gaga concert, instead of just at the stadium. And you can see which of your friends went to see Bridesmaids, and not just that they checked in at the theater. It saves typing, makes your history more memorable, and makes your friends' updates richer," said the company in a blog post.

For those new,

"Foursquare helps you explore the world around you. Keep up with friends, get insider tips, and unlock discounts and rewards.

While on the go, you can easily tell friends where you are, share pictures, get their comments ("I'm right around the corner, I'll stop by to say hello"), and get insider tips ("order the Lobster Ravioli; it's the best dish by far."). Tons of places offer discounts and freebies to foursquare users, and you earn points and badges for doing the things you love."

You can download the new update from the Android Market.
