After Prosthetic eye, it is now bionic finger -- A schoolgirl from Swindon has become the youngest person in Europe to be fitted with bionic fingers.
British high schooler, Chloe Holmes, 15, lost her hand fingers as a toddler due to blood poisoning when she suffered from septicaemia after contracting chickenpox. This new technology allows her to have functional fingers on her left hand for the first time in her life. She wore a prosthetic hand until her family paid £38,000 for the hi-tech hand.
Her father Pete Holmes said:
"We'd go out as a family and people would stare for the wrong reasons - they stare now in amazement."
